Let's talk about making changes in your diet today. I feel like making any change your diet is not easy. Big or small, that change is always difficult to make. 6 months ago, I made a decision of not eating meat any more. Was it easy? No. But am I happy? YES! It is one of the best decisions I've taken for myself and after 6 months, I can safely say that there is no going back now!
Just a month ago, when the team at 24 Mantra got in touch with me regarding my tie up with them, what got me interested was the idea behind the brand. I was immediately fascinated by the idea of using organic products in my desserts. I had never used organic products before but the fact that I could use healthy and pesticide free ingredients in my baking was what made me say yes.
Again, although it has just been about a month, this change wasn't easy. It is more like an experiment that I'm doing and sharing my experience with y'all. The team at 24 Mantra told me about the benefits of using organic products, which are-

After a lot of research from my end, I got onto some hands-on experiments in the kitchen. The first month I used, organic whole wheat flour, organic sugar, black tea, honey and peanut butter. I shared the recipe of organic whole wheat chocolate- peanut butter cookie sandwiches with you earlier. I was amazed by the quality of the product that I baked. There was definitely a difference in taste. The peanut butter was creamy and rich.
I am obsessed with whole wheat these days. My recipes using whole wheat like the breakfast cake and custard apple cake were great hit among you guys. I was greatly impressed by the organic whole wheat flour and can't wait to experiment more with it. My favourite organic ingredient that I've used so far is definitely the sugar. It is SO moist. It is like using brown sugar but it is not processed. I have used the sugar in the chocolate cookies, a black tea cake (recipe on blog next week), pizookies, flourless cakes and what not! i'm in love with the texture and moistness it lends to my cakes and there is definitely no going back to the regular sugar now.
This is just the beginning of my organic journey and I have a long way to go. There are a lot of kitchen experiments and recipes lined up and I can't wait to share my experiences with you. Stay tuned!
